Probably on the ground there are not enough people which having played even one party(set) in billiards, would remain are indifferent to this game. If it is fair, I such do not know. Once, in far 1971, during rest on Black sea, I too have caught this "illness". After arrival home, what I did(made), of what would not think, in a result all ideas were reduced to a theme of billiards.
To me there were 15 years, at that time in all city was only two billiard rooms not that now. When would not go to a billiard room, tables are borrowed{occupied}, and is rare when it was possible to play.
And then at me the idea has arisen, to make a billiard table most!

But even on such table, wishing to play soon began so many that I and could not imagine! All my numerous friends and comrades, have quickly caught this game and around of a table always there was a crowd of interested persons.

However, soon, the first delights have settled, and on the foreground all minuses of game on such primitive table have got out. Passions have gradually started to cease, and here to me has got on eyes, in shop the sports goods, the present{true} billiard table! (At least, I then so thought) the Game field approximately 50 - 100 see.

It(He) as now I remember cost, 40 roubles. Some days of the rest up to the salary, (I then already worked) have seemed to me torture!
Then, in my life there were many tables, but this has remained in memory for ever!

Before leaving(care) in army, I have presented this table to friends and when has returned, at me the opportunity to play already on normal tables has appeared. However, the desire to train seriously and is a lot of, again has brought me to idea to make a billiard table.

All began, from the old, a "killed" table which to me managed to be got practically for nothing. It was a table under a sphere in diameter of 70 mm. Factory work of the middle of the last century.

After his{its} restoration, I successfully trained on it{him} and played with friends some years successively. Periodically some from familiar asked me to help with restoration or repair of tables which houses stood at someone, at someone in a billiard room, etc. At me experience and knowledge of how the billiard table is arranged has appeared. By then, my table, has ceased suit me first of all because of diameter of spheres and their weight.

Even more often in billiard rooms tables with spheres of 68 mm began to appear. These spheres were heavier seven-tens. Game by such spheres appreciablly differed. And then, I have decided, to take advantage of the experience and to make to myself a new table under a sphere of 68 mm, and old to sell.

Has sold, has made new. The table has turned out quite good, but there were some moments which I did not consider at his(its) manufacturing.
Approximately, a month later one of my familiar has proposed me purchase of this table. I, not for a long time thinking, have agreed and have soon made to myself another.
Thus, during several years I have changed to myself three more tables.

Then reorganization and for some time began, new plans and prospects of that time, have slightly eclipsed my passion to billiards. And then on family circumstances, I had to leave from the city, almost for ten years.

It was the regional center with the population about 25000 inhabitants. I have inquired, last billiard room in this settlement has been closed about three years ago.
I managed to issue rent of a hall in which I have established the table. Soon, me cheaply two old tables, factory work have occasionally turned up, I am fast, have performed works on their restoration and as, has established in a billiard room.

Business went. People has learned(has found out) that one of tables on which always there was a turn, my work, and orders have begun.
Incomes of a billiard room and manufacturing of tables for that period of me quite arranged.
In 2000, I have returned to the city. Billiard business has remained in the past.
Has passed about four years.

All this time, recollecting about the past, I involuntarily thought: - Really, knowledge and experience saved up by me for all these long years, to me more any more will not be useful?!


However the destiny has disposed differently!
In 2004, due to persistence of the son, in our house the computer has appeared. Having got acquainted with the Internet, I with surprise have found out, full absence of the information on manufacturing billiard tables!

Having visited at several forums, has understood, that many people are interested in it, and unsuccessfully search for drawings and the information, on manufacturing billiard tables.
Agree, a sin was after that to not share the knowledge!

So the book, with the odd name has appeared: " How to make a professional billiard table for a week, having spent thus, a minimum of means " in which all my knowledge and more than 35 years(summer) experience, on manufacturing billiard tables are stated.
